When I load Mario Artist Studio (J) for the N64DD, it just shows a black screen with no sound. And trying to click on the Nintendo 64DD button on the toolbar makes the program freeze. At best I get 2 VPS, I don't know what that means though.

Do you know if you were using a release build of ares, which would have been v138 at the time you filed this request?

It was later found that enabling the run-ahead option would prevent 64DD games loading in some instances. The feature doesn't really work with the 64DD (or N64 right now due to system demands) and should have been disabled by default. We were doing this for the N64, but the check was missed for the 64DD. This was corrected in v139, which as of today is still the most recent release.

Can you please try again using the v139 release and report if you are still having an issue? And if it is fixed, can you still add a comment here letting us know it is fixed and then you can close out the issue? Thank you!
