This is now (presumably) as fixed as possible without EEP data. A simCluster bug (issue #50) is currently keeping this from being tested properly.
In the event that there are remaining issues with Girardi, this issue can be re-opened.
Shane reports:
I think there is something wrong with Girardi isochrones. I tried starting a run on Katmai using the Girardi models and it the code finishes in about 30 seconds. I get this output:
Bayesian analysis of stellar evolution 3882.75 -1538.06 6509 1084.44 -1538.06 4303.68 -5231.19 -126.519 6509 -5231.19 30982.8 6754.71 1084.44 -126.519 6754.71 2878.32 Acceptance ratio: 0.783000 time stamp: Tue May 21 11:11:51 EDT 2013
The funny thing is that the .res and .res.burnin files are both fully written, but it takes literally 39 seconds. You can have a look at the output files if you like. They're under /base9/ngc188/BV and called mcmc.ngc188.BV.fromUBVRIJHK.gir.noBS.aveprobs.res. None of the other sets are doing this as far as I could tell.
Ted checked the output and they have a very low logPost, which means a very unlikely set of parameters. It sounds like the majority of the computation was not being performed, for some reason.
