Lane segment centerline ordering #205

I had a question regarding the ordering of the points in the centerline of a lane segment. Are the points ordered according to the direction of travel of a vehicle in the lane segment, or is it arbitrary (i.e., they can also be in the opposite direction)?

They are ordered in the direction of travel.
