Posted stories don't allow basic HTML or paragraph breaks #56

Closed ariana-paris closed 9 years ago

Original issue 56 created by shalott on 2008-05-06T17:50:51.000Z:

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Post a new story using basic HTML (eg <i> and <b>) and blank lines between paragraphs.
  2. Story will be posted as a solid block with the tags visible inline.

We should use the latest (Rails 2.0) sanitize/whitelist techniques to allow limited safe HTML, and also convert blank lines into paragraph breaks. This should be done for summary, notes, title, and content.

If the fix has been implemented, it is not yet 'fixed'. Stories still post as one block of text and html is read as plain text. (If the fix is to load at a later point, disregard.)

The latest version of the archive has now been deployed, so this can be tested now (it wasn't before). I'm adding a separate issue for notifying the otw-testers mailing list when a new version is put out.

That looks to be working for me now. Italics, bold, emphasis and strong all showed up nicely as intended. Same with blank lines. FF 2.0.0.14

Working for me, too (em, strong, hr, and blank lines). Marking verified, since two of us have tested it with the most common "safe" tags.
