nikon d700 not recognising #42

Have tried to connect it with otg cable but in vain. I am using galaxy note 
n8000 with nikon d700. Please help.

What Android version are you using?
Do you get the Gallery popup window when you connect and turn on your camera?

I have a Nikon D700, Nexus 10, OpenCV, and DSLRDashboard. When I attach the OTG 
USB, Gallery fires up, but DSLRDB says no camrea detected... the same camera 
works perfectly on my Nexus 7.

If Gallery fires up when you connect the camera then probably the PTP/MTP 
device is defaulted to Gallery and DslrDashboard can't access it.
Do you get a dialog when you connect the camera or it goes to gallery?

It goes to Gallery - mebbe I shd re-prioritise just which app responds first to 
when the USB is plugged in. Is the Gallery start-up somehow over-riding DSLRDB 
and preventing it from functioning?

Go to Settings->Apps->Gallery and there click the 'Clear defaults' button. Try 
then.

Unfortunately - and for whatever reason - Gallery does not appear as an app, so 
I cannot clear its defaults! Has it been hidden, and can it be unhidden?

If you using JB then after you enter the Settings->Apps there are 3 tabs 
"Downloaded", "Running" and "All" and you can find the Gallery on the "All" tab.

USB powers up DSLRDashBoard when D700 attached to Nexus 10. No Video. Says 
Cannot Detect Camera. I press the shutter-release button on DSLRDB and it says 
that DSLRDashBoard has stopped working. Happens repeatedly...

So now DslrDashboard is started when you attach your D700?
What do you mean by 'No Video'?
Can you send me a logcat?

I attach the USB cable and switch on the camera - then DSLRDB fires up.
By no video I mean that the buttons on the DSLRDB screen can be seen but
no live-view. As I say, when I depress the shutter-release button on the
DSLRDB screen, it says that DSLRDB has stopped working.

How do I generate a logcat?

You can use the Lumberjack or Catlog applications. Did you install OpenCV? Do 
you have any other application that communicates with D700?

I have installed OpenCV.

There is no other app communicating with the D700.

I shalld/load Catlog...

Probably missed the notification, anyway in the posted logcat I don't see any 
error related to DslrDashboard.
