Troubles receiving input from a CTK-501 #6

What steps will reproduce the problem?
The keyboard, an old CASIO CTK-510 from the eighties, is connected to my
computer via a MIDI
USB cable. It is connected to a USB hub because my computer only has three USB
ports, and I
need five. I don't know if this is a problem. I know that when I plug my iPod
into the hub, I get a
"low speed connection" warning.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The Audio MIDI Setup utility does not display the keyboard, instead only
portraying the default
"IAC Driver" and "Network" as well as "USB Midi Cable".

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
I am currently running on Mac OS X version 10.5.8.

Please provide any additional information below.
I placed the "CasioUSBMIDIDriver.plugin" in my Library/Audio/MIDI Drivers
folder. I have
absolutely no experience with connecting instruments to computers whatsoever.
Any help would
be appreciated!

I'm sorry to say this driver won't work in your case, you need to check with
the manufacturer of your USB
MIDI cable.

However, since the USB keyboard is showing up in the MIDI setup window, it
should work. If you add a
custom keyboard and specify that it is going through the USB cable with this
interface, it should show in
your applications.

Thank you for your help. I'm sure it would have worked, had my problem not
stemmed from a failure to read the
manual. I checked the pamphlet in the bag for the cable and discovered that I
had placed the MIDI ends of the
cable in the wrong ports! Well, it works perfectly now, and maybe I'll check my
cables next time I have some
trouble connecting!

Thank you!
