Partially done - works fine with preview column. I'm closing this for now 
because the
amount of work needed to make it work with MediaBrowser exceeds benefit. No user
requests have been received for this issue - it was my own idea. If a user 
requests
video preview in the media browser, then we can look into it further and invest 
the
time. Till then, closing this issue for now.
