Port to ESM. Update preferences and improve setting shortcut.

Cannot test it (I'm still on 44) but it looks good to me. No hurt in merging I guess and publishing the latest zip just for version 45?

I am on Gnome 45 on OpenSuse Tumbleweed and it works fine here for me but if you want to be sure then you can wait to test it for yourself before publishing the latest zip.
