Chat causing "Extension host terminated unexpectedly." error. #471

Open JAZ-013 opened 4 years ago

JAZ-013 commented 4 years ago

As of this morning on version 0.34.0 of Chat, and 1.45.1 of VSCode, I started getting this error. Uninstalling the Chat extension causes the error to disappear.

I don't use Chat, or even know how it was installed, so removing it has fixed the issue for me. Posting this Issue here so others can know and maybe something can be done.

Thanks

This keeps happening over and over again. Had to disable the extension. Doesn't work up to VS Code v1.47.0-insider!

binury commented 4 years ago

Anyone who had this installed and upgrades to the July release will need to disable the karigari chat extension in order to use any of their other extensions

@arjun27 Is there any chance to fix this?

arjunattam commented 4 years ago

Hey @nikolay, I haven't been able to repro this and identify the culprit. Are you using the slack chat provider?

nikolay commented 4 years ago

Yes, I've been using Slack, @arjun27.
