[BUG] Game freezes with ArkInventory and the Blizzard Bank Interface #1680

What version number you are using? ArkInventory 3.10.07

What game client are you playing? Retail, Burning Crusade, Classic / Live, PTR, Beta Retail 10.0.2.46702

What language is the game client set to? German & English

Describe the bug A clear and concise description of what the bug is. Everytime I open the bank the whole game freeze forever (or until the bank window is closed by combat or death), when I use the Blizzard Bank Interface. The ArcInventory Bank Interface works fine. All Addons are disabled except ArkInventory and the ArkInventory Files are deleted from all SavedVariables Folders.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behaviour, if possible:

  1. Delete the the ArkInventory files from SavedVariables to get the default settings.
  2. Start WoW
  3. Deactivate all addons except ArkInventory
  4. Login into a character
  5. Open the setting from ArkInventory
  6. Disable "Override" for the bank interface (General -> Profile -> Controls -> Bank -> General -> Override)
  7. Open the Bank and it will freeze forever in nearly all attempts

sorry, cant duplicate it.

can you try again, but before you open the bank enable debug you could also try disabling ai from its config, see if that also locks up

I tried 3.10.07 alpha 3, but it also locks up. I uploaded another video. Part 1 is ai and thread debug, part 2 only ai debug. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ay1tWFZPLaU

I tried the same with a class test char and the it worked fine.

This bug still exists.... I've used Arkinventory for ages but never used it on the banks, I just like Blizz's bank layouts. Since the pre-patch, I've been having issue with this addon but not on all toons and for the life of me I cannot figure out the difference. I have 2 toons where everything works exactly as it should and all the rest of my toons freeze when I open the bank. All toons use the same default settings. If I use AI with the Bank Override engaged everything works but it uses the AI for the bank, If I uncheck the override and try to open the bags, I get a brief flash of the bank frame without slots, the bank bags pop up and then the bank slots appear but the whole thing is frozen. I basically have to end the game process and log back in to regain function.

I don't know why, but with 3.10.09 (release) everything works fine with the blizzard bank ui. But I have an other bug: sometimes, not direct after the login, all items are in one big bag. Normally I have a lot of rules to seperate them. But after reloading the ui everything is working fine again.

On my mainchar it is working fine, but now I have the same issue on an alt. On this alt it worked with 3.10.07.
