It has been exciting to be able to play as Norway under Sweden but there are a few things that hampered the experience.
Education. While Norway starts with near 80% literacy the school system is still at basic. I believe it should stand on at least acceptable. From what I read taking another look online there was reforms in the 1820's. There would be a school near every church and every place of work with at least 30 workers and the children studied until confirmation. Teachers also had to take a series of seminars.
Lofoten is not being simulated. While not the biggest of issues it cannot be overstated how important fishing is to the Norwegian economy. It looks funny seeing Oslo (Kristiana) getting getting way more fish. I was thinking Norway could get an annual event similar to "The Old Man and The Sea". A bit of backstory on Lofoten. they get a ton of fish every year because the Atlantic cod comes to spawn there each year.
Buggy capitalists. They were stuck with 3 factories which didn't get enough funding for 50 years. The entire time I was promoting them. They wouldn't switch to building railroads either so I was really behind.
At times the option declare war on Sweden was greyed out while the text didn't give me any reason why I couldn't.
Sami population. I can't help but feel it's not right. There used to be sami as far south as Trondheim back in the day.
According to the tractor event Mountanous Tundra isn't getting the effect. That is just wrong, I'm sorry. While a lot of our country has that as its most prevelant feature it doesn't mean there aren't areas with farmland. And they aren't growing on the side of the mountain where a tractor can't reach.
Norway can have a regency event even though they don't have a monarch. It would be cool if you could have a Danish monarch event or something.
Some regions don't have their correct letters. Bodo should be Bodø and Alesund should be Ålesund. I can see that Sweden uses the å so it seems like the game can support it.
I would love to see something for Svalbard. It would be cool if nations like the UK, Sweden, Norway or perhaps even Russia and Finland getting to it. Looking at its history the mine has been sold so nations could sell it through a decision perhaps. A side note is that The League of Nations gave Svalbard to Norway in 1925.
I get a lot of rebillions because I don't raise the minimal wage. The thing is that many of the Nordic countries don't have a minimal wage because of the strength of their labour unions.
Last but not least is that the population never grows. They are all emigrating despite my work on birthrates and living standards. It's 1916 in my game right now and my pop is still about 1.20 millions
