I think much time is wasted by redoing what other people have already done and one way to eliviate this issue is having a better search tool. I imagine our imaginary reproducer search engine to do the following:
- Given a certain paper (by DOI) if someone has created and published in our "workflow-hub" a workflow already. They can one-click-add it like any other workflow.
- If there is no workflow yet, by some neighborhood metric (like a graph as seen in connected papers) it will recommend related workflows.
If you sometimes think "Why is there no tool/one that does/tells/solves this?" this issue is for you. But not to complain, formulate what you think is needed to solve the issue and maybe we can make it happen.
