Request: NFS friendly backup option #1034

I use an NFS mount as a backup for my ARK server. The NFS server is at my other house connected over VPN, so bandwidth between the two isn't great.

Would it be possible to add an option to set a different working directory for the backup, and then only use the final destination to create the compressed file?
