Using upgrade-tools command to upgrade the tools installed the autostart service. And it starts every instance. I never installed it as a service because I want to manually start it the servers. This is bothersome, to say the least...

v1.6.51 now makes service installation optional, and will not re-install the service.

You should be able to disable and/or remove the service.
