Good example: here (yes, it is the online MarkDown editor you showed me a couple months ago). As you see, it is simple, minimalist, discrete and useful. We should keep it that way.

By the way, is the current line highlighting possible? I don't know whether it is good or not, but I need to know if it is possible to do.

Don't worry about styling, I will get this part. Focus on engineering (of course, we will need to call each other sometimes).

I think we need to divide the syntax highlighting in 3 parts:

Current line, a cool way to highlight the sentence you are writing.
Technical stuff, displaying links, images, bold etc...
Writer, an optionnal syntax highlighting using this project. As the project said: "Nerds already highlight their code. Why don't we also highlight our prose?", our users are writers and this project can be a good option for Mado.
