Hotmail, unable to connect. #258

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Just Logging in to hotmail

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I am using a hotmail account and every time i try to sign in, i get this
message. "Unable to authenticate: unable to connect"

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
1.0.2 apollo. 

Please provide any additional information below.
It just stopped working. I was chatting the other day and even then i had
to sign in about 20 times to connect.

I am having the same issue.  It used to work but all the sudden stopped working

few days ago.  Please help...

Try edit your hosts file and add the following line :

65.54.179.193   loginnet.passport.com

Full file in attach (to put in /Applications/Apollo.app)

I replaced the hosts file and it still not connecting, any help?

Thanks morgane007, your solution worked for me. I had to copy additional 
entries from
the attached hosts file, the entry for loginnet.passport.com alone is not 
sufficient.
