Unable to connect MSN #265

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Try to connect MSN Messenger
2. Retry
3. Retry

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Unnable to connect

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
iPod Touch 16GB 1.1.2

Please provide any additional information below.
Patching hosts file is a solution:

How do you edit the hosts file?? Like what do you do?

Using SSH. I put the file in /Applications/Customize.app/

hi
i have a "handhaking, getting cookie..."
then "unable to authenticate : unable to connect"
i did connect sftp
first modified /private/etc/hosts
then nothing changed

then uploaded in /applications/customize.app/
ut same thing, seems to connect, getting auth, handshake, then when reading 
cookie,
have unable to connect

omg, no i seen that i posted! i said something wrong... 
/Applications/Customize.app/
must be /Applications/Apollo.app/

I dont know what i were thinking when i posted that, sorry

It works for me. I supposed it has to be /Applications/Apollo.app insted of
Customize.app.
I have to say that this trick also works with mobileChat modifiying
/Applications/Chat.app/DNS.hosts

This worked for me (iPhone 8GB originally 1.0.2 OTB, upgraded to 1.1.1, 1.1.2 
AnySim,
finally 1.1.4 ZiPhone).  But my question is how do I explain this to my friend 
who
has no idea how to ftp into his phone?  Isn't their a simple Installer 
installtion
that can do this with no sweat?
