fill "object" influences the entire mesh #1600

ArmorPaint 0.9-12e1222, Windows

Issue description: It is not possible to fill individual mesh parts isolated by "Object" / parts. To create a mask, the fill function is very helpful, but it only works for UV islands and faces.

Steps to reproduce: Click on the fill function and select Object. Now click on the desired part of the mesh, the filling will then affect the entire mesh.

Meanwhile I figured out there is a workaround, if you select the meshpart via the drop-down on the respective layer in the layerstack. But isn't that exactly what the "object" selection should do in the first place? If so, this is the missing link.

Is the developer even looking at the issues here? This issue is open for almost a year now without any reaction. Which is worrying honestly.

While, when I look at the software, this doesn't look like an issue to me, but as intended (although I wonder if this is the most intuitive way, but that's another thing):

The fill tool can be used together with the Color ID tool; if you first select a region by color using the color ID tool and than use the fill tool you only fill the region you had selected.

Yes exactly... In German, there is a saying that no reaction is also a reaction. You are right, it's not really a bug, but rather falls into the category of a user enhancement. That's why it doesn't seem important. I used Substance Painter for a few years, which is still the industry standard for a reason. But, Adobe. That is why I would like to use Armorpaint. Well, honestly, I have lost the motivation to continue using the tool. It seems like such a big gap that will never be filled.
