No music on hold when dialling *9664 from softphone #841

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
I have installed fusionPBX on my ubuntu 12.04 LTS machine and also got an
extension 1016 added through fusionPBX. Now when I am trying to test the
installation by dialling *9664 from x-lite softphone from a different computer
but in the same network as my fusionPBX server, my call gets received but I
cannot hear any music on hold.
I will attach the log file with this message. Please find the log file below.

Thanks,
Mitchelle

Without looking into this too deeply, I think it may be realted to the fact
that you are using the OPUS codec, try a different codec like PCMU.

Hi,
Thank you for kind reply. I would like to inform you that the codec I am using
is PCMU and active call tab in fusionPBX verifies it too.
Also, when I am registering my softphone with a extension 1016 and ip address
of my Freeswitch/fusionPBX server the softphone says that the account is
enabled but the registration field in fusionPBX bears no record.

Thanks,
Mitchelle

Hi,
The issue is resolved, actually the music on hold was too faint to be heard by
bare ears. I then put on my head phones and could hear the music on hold
clearly.
Please close this issue.

Thanks,
Mitchelle
