Is it an erp? Are "clients" and "suppliers" users?

Yes. "clients" and "suppliers" are kind of Address book entry classification, You may try demo here. And get some documentation here.

Thank you for the links. In my use case, a client account is required. I guess it is only possible when the client is a user. anyways thanks. There is another module https://github.com/stratoserp/stratoserp

In it, clients and suppliers are users. I have tested it, but it is not yet fully ready, so I was looking for another solution.

You can map a user to a client or supplier via another module which is not in github. Then you can share data with that (external) user.
