It's certainly possible, but would have to be done by someone else than me - I
don't
have gamecube controllers unfortunately.
Anyway, see it as an interesting task :-)

I would wholeheartedly anticipate/back this request. I have an X-Arcade
controller
(http://www.xgaming.com/two-player.shtml) which connects to the Gamecube ports.
Having an analog controller for my favorite old games would be capital! Your
project
has been a favorite of mine for YEARS, having been able to play my favorite
ROMs on
my PC. Now that it's been ported to the Wii, I'm astounded at how much life
this
platform continues to exhibit. The Comodore64 was indeed a great device.
Thanks for keeping it alive! You win two free internets!

If needed, I'll send you a controller. If I can't code, I can at least donate
the
materials needed toward development. Let me know!

Well, that would be a nice feature. However, in UAE it would be simple to
implement
(it should only be a configuration issue really), but Frodo doesn't use SDL for
joystick input, which makes it more difficult. It should really be rewritten to
use
SDL for joystick as well.
I have enough hardware as it is, so keep it yourself :-)

Thanks for the follow-up. In a previous entry to this thread, you mentioned not
having a GameCube controller (It's certainly possible, but would have to be
done by
someone else than me - I don't have gamecube controllers unfortunately).
However, if
the level of effort is too great (It should really be rewritten to use SDL for
joystick as well), then I understand if this will not happen in the near future.
Warmest regards,

Should in principle work with c64-network.org v1, since it's using SDL joystick
layer now.
Note that you would have to setup the configuration file manually for the GC
parts,
so it won't be simple to do. (Well, it's just a text file, so not that hard,
but
anyway).
I have some ideas about making the key binding stuff more system agnostic, but
right now setting up things via the GUI requires editing the source code and
recompiling.
Marking as wontfix for now.

Thanks for the follow-up. I'll check-out C64-Network.Org's version. Frodo has
been
the de-facto emulator for me since its inception. I will troll around here
regularly to see if the status has changed (here's hoping!).
Thanks so much for your hard work and dedication. You have kept so many games
alive, and with them come great memories. There's really no price you can put
on
that.

Is there any future version with GC support?
Thank you in advance.
