Mark,
When working with Ben on BATEA, I have noticed that RFortran r710 onwards is
incompatible with DMSL r_939 onwards. This complicates BATEA-related work (and
anything else that relies on DMSL and RFortran).
Note that the changes I committed in Jan 2013 as part of RFortran r707 were
intended to be compatible with DMSL r_939 onwards.
Then in Nov 2013 you (MT) reverted these changes in RFortran r710, with the
comment you were "making RFortran compatible with DMSL r_402". Given that DMSL
is now r_1099, DMSL r_402 is rather dated.
Were your changes in RFortran r710 deliberate, or just an oversight? I would
prefer to have RFortran continue co-evolving with DMSL, especially as there
will be a period of code development and case studies in the next few months.
cheers,
d
