5 years ago Test on Special R76 builds on Optiplex 980 using Radeon graphics.
The error message is similar.
frecon[266]: Chrome did not release master. Trying again.
frecon[266]: Failed to set atomic cap.

...Seems like some problem with the interaction between the kernel module and frecon.
The system "hangs" at the bootlogo screen indefinitely, tho the base system did load so I'm able to go into a tty and issue commands... The dmesg output says:
frecon (273): Chrome did not release master. Trying again. frecon (273): Chrome failed to take display ownership. Trying again.
Test on Special and Vanilla R69 Builds on the Dell Latitude 5580
EDIT: On the newest daily build it's a little different, it also prints Chrome did not release master. Try again. But it now also says "Chrome did not release master. Frecon will steal master. " and after that "DEBUG: tsm_vte: unhandled DA: 4 0 -1 -1..."
