Graphics freeze on boot with 1050ti #314

Going through the issues in this repo, I notice that Nvidia support is pretty rocky. Using my 1050ti in my primary PCI slot will leave a black (but on) screen after GRUB finishes. If I swap out the 1050ti for an old GT620, everything boots up and works pretty well aside from a bit of glitching. Are GTX-series graphics cards unsupported?

Processor: Ryzen 1500X MB: ROG Strix B450-F
