I wanted to ask if there are any plans in the near future to update the DIAMOND dependency.
It is currently pinned at version 0.8.36, that is a version from 2017.
Is there a reason why there is no support for newer versions?
I am currently wrapping RGI in a QIIME2 plugin and the old version makes it incompatible with a lot of other QIIME2 plugins what prevents us from releasing the plugins in one distribution.
I would also contribute to solve this problem if that is possible.
