I have been a user of reaver for about a year now and it has worked on about 5%
of the ap's i attempt to hack. when it does work, it will usually go at 5
seconds per pin which is pretty reasonable. just recently i've been having a
lot of trouble connecting with reaver and i have been timing out like no other.
in my searches for a solution i found this neat tool.
i updated airmon-ng, reaver and pyrit after today
using: Backtrack 5 R2 32bit
just downloaded the latest version of wifite today. v2
reaver version 1.4 which was updated about 4 months ago
wifite appears to be working better than the reaver command line, but the
problem is that it is incredibly slow. up to 500 seconds per pin attempt. that
could take years to finish! the same thing happens with wep attacks. i only get
about a hundred packets every few seconds. why is it so slow?
my attacks are on access points with power between 40 and 50db
i have a hp dv6 2190us.
