Thanks for the great project! i did some coding, and add a simple linux support of background_launch.

Didn't test on windows, since lua51.dll + core_x86.dll crashed my minetest again and again, but under window it could work ..I guess.. please let me know if anything wrong.

I am worried about the removal of quotation marks around the paths. Won't this create problems of the paths have spaces in them?
