As much as I love this app (so useful not to have to think about switching wifi off/on when going out/coming back home), I'm always a bit bothered when I use a location app (mostly Moz Stumbler or OsmAnd) that rely on network/wifi location.
Typical use case :
I'm at home with wifi and high accuracy location (= GPS + network/wifi) on
I get into my car and start OsmAnd to drive somewhere, and/or Moz Stumbler to gather nearby wifi APN on the way
I drive away
Wifi-Matic switches wifi off
-> End result : my navigation app must rely on GPS only, and Moz Stumbler can no longer gather wifi data :-(
Solution :
Do not disable wifi if network location is currently being used (I keep high accuracy location on all the time, so simply checking if network location is enabled wouldn't be enough)
Ideally, periodical check to see if it's worth switching wifi off/on again
It might be simpler to think of it as "enable wifi if network location is being used". I also understand that root access might be needed to check the current state of network location. That's no problem to me : all my devices are rooted. :-)
