Short description of what this resolves:

Upgrading the Fabric8 Kubernetes client to 6.9.2, non-disruptive approach. Can be improved after further analysis and experiments.

Draft: still having some issues with the Istio extension (currently commented) and there are TODO - check occurrences, that need to be resolved.

This one can be closed, since master is going to be replaced with main which contains the fix already as based on 2.0.x
