Hi! First of all thanks for making this! I really like the mod idea and today the game received the new update, I'm still testing it to see if something broke.

I want to ask you if there's a possibility for you to make a "lite" version without modifying the huds and textures? I liked the mod but I prefer to keep the originality of the game, playing this I feel i'm playing a overall mod. I also tend to use the AGF hud and both don't seem to work together, thats why im wondering if you could make a second version focusing more on the vanilla style.

Thank you!

Hello. This area on Github is for coding Issues and not really requests or discussions. Those are best served here: https://community.7daystodie.com/topic/32251-a21-preppocalypse/

The AGF hud loads after Preppocalypse, which is a step in the right direction since it will have the capacity to overwrite how the Hud is loading in Preppocalypse and use its own. That is something AGF could look into to override the way things are being done for Preppocalypse and any other mod/overhaul which makes Hud changes.

Preppocalypse makes no changes to XUI_Common / styles and XUi / controls and this can be shared with Aurora Giggle Fairy. However, the XUi / windows and xui are showing errors in the log for AGF Hud Plus.

Making a 'lite' version is outside the scope of Preppocalypse since there is the potential that AGF will make further updates in time and it is not possible to constantly keep track of how it will be developed. For example, both Preppocalypse and AGF use this prompt:

AGF version

    <!--LOCATION INDICATOR SIMPLIFICATION-->
    <!--Removing the entering area x thing.-->
    <remove xpath="/windows/window[@name='windowEntering']"/>

If I was to make a 'lite' version it would require one with this and one without this to cater for all players and to ensure AGF could load without any warnings when joining a World. I'm not able to maintain 3 versions to accommodate these types and hope you can understand.

There are two potential solutions:

  1. Contact AGF, share the warning code, and request that AGF Hud overrides everything done in Preppocalypse.
  2. Manually remove all Preppocalypse Hud code to allow Vanilla Hud, and as a prerequisite to ensure AGF can be run without any conflict.

Since both are related to AGF, It is best to contact Aurora Giggle Fairy for support with this request since you tend to use the AGF Hud and it would have to remove the Preppocalypse HUD features anyway. Since the days of when AGF was Riles (Plus) updates have been fast and frequent and AGF will be better served to keep track of them.

All the best in whatever you decide to do.
