Notes on OpenType Features

Still searching for a proper thesis/idea of this post, but it could be nice to compile a list of lessons learned from asking about OpenType features on Twitter.

  • Turns out, these are useful in menus, annual reports, and tables of contents
• Raised colons, yea or nea? In which feature? https://twitter.com/arrowtype/status/1432391589108797445?s=21
  • Difficult to do right in all cases, especially in IP addresses (IPv6). But, maybe worthwhile anyway. They probably don't look too bad even if nearby baseline colons, but there is debate.
