So I've just spent a little while running Jaikoz (jthink.net) across my music collection, and allowing it to tag each song with a musicbrainz.org fingerprint. I don't pretend to know how that works (http://wiki.musicbrainz.org/AudioFingerprint ), but I imagine it could feed into duplicate-finding.

Does dupeGuru know about musicbrainz.org fingerprints to use those as duplicate-signals?

I like this idea as sorting my music is the next project after having sorted my pictures. 😆

In case you wonder: I am about to file an issue thus skimming through the existent tickets. By providing feedback to tickets that interest me I'd like to say thank you for your effort and for providing this great time saving tool for free!

Thanks for your thorough issue creation/commenting. That's a lot to process at once, but it's interesting stuff.

Is the current comparison by content in the music category a checksum comparison like that in the "standard" category ?
