You can try deleting the cached_pictures database. On Windows it's located in AppData\Local\Hardcoded Software\dupeGuru\cached_pictures.db; I'm not sure where it is stored on other platforms, but try searching for that filename.
Hello, I understand that the purpose of the reference system and why it is important. It is one of the main reasons why I actually use dupe guru. However, as I realized recently, the reference folders appear to be in effect permanently and not on per-run basis. I thought that the reference mark is active only until I close the software. That appears not to be the case, which make sense also. Well, is there a way to clear/maintain the reference folders list? I tried to find the location of these settings, no luck. When cleaning a huge and messy library of my photos I need to use the divide and conquer approach, where a folder may be "reference" in one of the runs, but it is not later on. I learned to clear the setting after each scan, but at this point I am not sure what's flagged and what's not. I've been noticing that the software misses some dupes, only then I realized that some of the nested folders remained as "reference". Help?
