Are recurring events on your road map?  Example, specify the event will take 
place every monday 
and wed. for the next 6 months.  monday at 9:30 am and tuesday at 4:30 pm.

This is something that will be supported. I need to look into the implementation
though as i'm unsure of the best / standard approach for this problem and the 
moment.

tbh i think this should not be up to the calendar plugin since imo it's more 
the task
of the date supplier, the data layer

I agree with drelangen: the data supplier should handle this. All the calendar 
needs to 
know is: is there an event this monday and this wednesday?
