Jim's group is working with RTI on an SBIR that includes adding use cases to their DDS implementation that might match the high-rate data transfer that is needed in a DAQ system.

We should investigate whether this is feasible and/or reasonable.

The initial amount of hours that I'm estimating for this task (40) is just for some initial discussions.

I believe that as of artdaq v2_00_00, the RTIDDS_transfer plugin can be used for primary data movement. However, I'm leaving this one a little bit open because I don't think this transfer plugin has ever been tested for this usage. We should do these tests and ensure that the transfer plugin is capable of running at the rates necessary.
