Please upgrade to the latest FFMPEG version, as of this writing, latest version of FFMEPG is 2.6.1.

Key feature (for me) that would come from an upgrade from 2.4.2 would be support for MPEG-DASH that was added in 2.5.

Please upgrade to the latest 2.x or 3.x version of FFMPEG, was of this writing, the latest version of FFMPEG ist 3.1.1.

The key feature I miss is the support for Multipart JPEG which as added in FFMPEG 2.7.
