Get song name & artist from internet radio stream

I've already commented on the closed issue #58 (which probably was not a smart thing to do), but it seems that for some radio stations the artist and song are not fetched properly.

I'm listening to soma.fm mostly. I've added the AAC playlist, eg. http://somafm.com/groovesalad130.pls but I don't see the current title. I've tried their other URLs:

MP3 256kb

None of them show the current track and artist. I know that this works with other players like radiotray. I'm not sure if there is such thing as a standard on titles in radio streams and maybe soma.fm just doesn't stick to that standard?

Funny thing I just noticed. I opened pavucontrol to check on my volume settings and I was seeing the actual song title there. See sceenshot:

So, the question is, why isn't it showing in the Melody app itself or the system indicator?
