I think he is asking for support of multiple activities.

Sounds like it, would love to be able to create context menus and options menus
to navigate to other activities within the application.

It isn't clear to us exactly what is being requested here. Given that 37 people
have starred this (so far) I wonder if all 37 have the same idea! Please
clarify.

From my understanding it is the ability to have the program continue executing
code (i.e. triggering timers) when it's not "in focus"...
This would allow for the creation of alarm-type of applications etc.

Looks like you mean "background services".

I starred it so I could be popular. And that I thought it meant having more
than one Activity for the application.

There is a separate issue for background services
(http://code.google.com/p/app-inventor-for-android/issues/detail?id=32). Please
star that one if that's what you mean.
I'm not sure that we'd add support for multiple Activities within an
application (at least not ones visible to the user - we already use them for
ListPicker and other components). What would be a compelling use case in the
App Inventor world?

Well it would be great to be able to have a functionality for settings, like
using the PreferencesActivity, instead of using the TinyDB component to store
option settings. Also, the ability to create context/option menus that take the
user to a different Activity within the application.

Sorry for being vague, but what I meant to request was to support the creation
of Broadcast Receivers and services. So its a combo of issue 32 as well as
issue 55.

I opened new feature for Multithreading, so people can clearly understand it
and star it.
