Spotify freezes during video ads. #95

Spotifree is blocking the ads from playing which then freezes Spotify and doesn't allow for it to play the add. So then Spotify is waiting for the ad to play, thus resulting in it freezing. Must restart everytime a video ad plays to continue with more tunes. I tested Spotify without Spotifree on and the video ads play fine.

Hi, NN! I had this issue as well. I resolved the issue, in my instance, by restarting spotify, which sounds like what you've done tirelessly. It may be worth a shot to restart or reinstall either spotify or spotifree or both. Hope this helps!

I have exactly the same issue that Spotify freezes during video ads. Reinstalling Spotify and Spotifree didn't help.

What Spotifree / Spotify version do you use?

Usually I use the last version (currently 1.0.60.492), so I experienced the issue across versions I guess and I use Spotifree 1.6.5.

I usually have spotify running the background. Hence, I cannot tell if it happens with every video ad because I might not see it...

I know my comment might not help very much though... Because it's even hard for me to pinpoint the problem. I just sometimes I just don't hear music anymore and then I see a stuck video ad (but this can take several hours until it happens...)

Perfect, I just downloaded it a few minutes ago. Listening to Spotify, so far no problems with the dev version. I will report back when it gets stuck again!

I listened to Spotify yesterday for 2 hours without an issue. If I encounter any issue I will report back.

Hi @Enellis - dev build 2.0dev2 fixed the video bug for me! Video(s) now freely play muted and volume returns after. However, I noticed the notification window said "[zero] seconds."

Thank you very much first of all. I will tell you my case and how I solved it. Spotify got stuck and had to restart Spotify every time an ad went through. Spotifree did not work well. I did the two things suggested above. I used version 2 dev and also removed Spotify and reinstalled it. This way my problem was solved. I did it in that order. I downloaded version 2 dev, removed Spotify and then reinstalled it and that's how it worked, if something else happens, I'll report it. A thousand thanks for all your help.
