Positioning not worked #109

Position parameter and config options is not worked. The displayed image always appears in the centre of the screen. Swayimg version: 2.0 Sway version: 1.8.1

Hi, Could you show the command you use? Do you have custom swayimg config file? I tried swayimg -p 123,456 photo.jpg and it works for me.

Hi! No custom swayimg config file. Your command is similar swayimg -p 100,100 nevn.png Nevertheless, the image appears in the centre. In the Sway settings, floating enable is part of the swayimg, but it doesn't work without it.

Try to remove any rules for swayimg from your sway config. These rules will be added by the swayimg itself.

My swayimg was updated a few days ago. It worked fine in the previous version. I changed the config file by copying the new version and rewriting a few things in it. It didn't work. I deleted the lines in my own config and the sway settings that apply to them, but it still doesn't work. I tried changing the scale and size parameters on it, nothing. The sway gives the option to move the program that opens, tried that, nothing. Maybe the problem is that the old version had a swaywm intergation config parameter, which was not included in the new one.

I noticed something else. The -a parameter does not set the class of the window. After displaying it, I query it with swaymsg -t get_tree and it doesn't change, it stays swayimg.

Again, could you show your config for swayimg? Do you have any swayimg related options in your Sway configuration?

swayimg is the default application id that is used if there is a problem getting current time.

Sorry, I can't help you without knowing your configuration. Try to update your version to 2.1. If the bug is reproduced, please attach your configuration files and describe what command line arguments you use when starting the swayimg. I can't fix the bug if I can't reproduce it =)
