The menu item is named "Reload", and it has a keyboard equivalent — ⌘R

Maybe regular reload triggered after standby/lid-close/open events should be a good way of keeping things consistent?

Yep, it already should work this way. This PR is a shameful retreat for if the new version doesn't prove to be able to reload the functionality in absolutely all possible scenarios.
