What OS are you running on it? Try the hk1-rbox-x4-vfd or tanix-x4-vfd and see if anything is displayed on screen. In case nothing is displayed, please post a dmesg log.

Hi! System CoreELEC 19.5-Matrix_rc2 (Stable) hk1-rbox-x4-vfd.conf and tanix-x4-vfd not displayed anything. Service openvfd.service starting with error:

Ok, those specific vfd.conf files will only work with the latest nightly builds. I think that the best option to start with is to check the pin configuration in Android. Install Terminal Emulator in Android and run the following command: cat /sys/kernel/debug/gpio I'll need the output, similar to what you see in this post: https://discourse.coreelec.org/t/how-to-configure-vfd/427/688

@Sheredeka Any updates?

Hi, I'll get busy at the end of the week. There is no access to this device at the moment. I will definitely write the result.

arthur-liberman commented 1 year ago

@Sheredeka I know it has been quite a while, but did you end up fixing the icons?

Sheredeka commented 1 year ago

Hi! I'm sorry I didn't answer in time. I returned the android firmware to this device and gave it to a friend. Unfortunately, I can't answer for sure whether it works now or not. I think if it didn't work, this branch would be replenished with records. Thank you for your hard work!

It's ok, no worries.
