gatool is a tool to provide FIRST® Game Announcers with up to date information while announcing events during the FIRST Robotics season. As a web-based tool, it uses up-to-date information about the event to provide a comprehensive set of useful data to Game Announcers. It is designed to work on desktops, laptops and tablet devices.
This update brings consistency to how we store team updates. Prior to this update, each screen had a slightly different way of handling the updates. Now, they are consistent.
It also changes how we manage the update values on the team data page so that the form fields are properly controlled. One benefit is live preview for the Awards Text.
This also introduces Top Sponsor for Champs. In World Champs events, we must restrict to a single named sponsor. gatool now exposes the Top Sponsor field when in World Champs Divisions and in Champs.
