Please describe the feature requested.

We ran into a FindBugs bug linked above.  We should switch to a newer version 
of the findbugs-maven-plugin from the current 2.3.2 to the latest 2.5.2.  Note 
that it finds new bugs, so we may need to customize the rules or exclusions.
