Older versions are still available for those on older PHP/Laravel versions. I think the reference to those versions can be still useful for anyone stuck on a legacy version.
But you're right, the mentioning of the supported versions is inconsistent across the README

No new code added, just updated the README to reflect the version support changes made last week. The change to PHP 8.0 was to match what Laravel 9 requires rather than the prior support for Laravel 8.
