Do not display date on parent page #64

Closed nicosomb closed 1 year ago

Today, if I choose to display date on my blog posts, I can. But, the date is also displayed on the parent page and I want to have the date on this page.

(for example, the date is displayed here https://nicolas.loeuillet.org/ and I want to hide it).

I see. Let me get back to you on this.

I'd also appreciate if it were possible to exclude this from the home page.

I'm sorry, I've been really busy lately. If someone wouldn't mind submitting a pull request I'm happy to TAL. Otherwise ETA for this is uncertain. I'll try to find time this weekend maybe.

Bumping this issue. This theme doesn't get the attention from others that it deserves! I'm considering it for a minimalist business website. Unfortunately theme design/grav isn't my forte.

artofthesmart commented 2 years ago

Can someone reproduce the issue? Home pages don't seem to be displaying the date for me.

Marking this as WIA unless someone can reproduce and reopen!

In your demo this works perfectly fine: 'Demo Pages' -> 'Collection' is how I would want my blog section to appear, 'Collection' w/o the date and its sub-items with the date.

However I'm unable to re-create this on my local test installation. I can either flip it on or off in the theme settings. I don't see anything in the pages of the demos respective frontmatter that would change anything regarding the date either.

So the question remains, how did you do this?

PS: I would like to thank you for your work!

I'll take a look sometime this week!

I've found the issue you're talking about. Stand by, fix in the works, just hard to get time to TAL.

artofthesmart commented 3 weeks ago

OK I think this fixes it. I'll publish an update now, give it a try.

New release pushed with these features. Just update your theme via the admin plugin!
