Can't find bin folder on "iOS create empty project" article #157

Open hpbl opened 6 years ago

hpbl commented 6 years ago

The article reads

Next let's import all necessary files into your project (Add files to "ProjectName"). You will need to import:

  • ARAppCore
  • include
  • lib
  • bin

But I can't find the bin folder anywhere. Has this folder changed name/places on version 5.4?

Thanks.

@hpbl which article are you referring to?

hpbl commented 6 years ago

@ThorstenBux The one called iOS create empty project

ThorstenBux commented 6 years ago

@hpbl I've updated the link to the 5.4 package https://s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/artk-dist/download/ARToolKit5-bin-5.4.0-iOS.tar.gz but the bin directory is in that package. Does that help you?

hpbl commented 6 years ago

@ThorstenBux thanks for the update. On 5.4 there is indeed a bin folder, but another problem arose. The bin folder on the link you sent has the following files: captura de tela 2018-04-03 as 13 22 39

whereas on the article there is a bunch of other stuff in there: xcode_reverences

Is the tutorial missing some steps?

The tutorial might be a bit outdated. To be honest this tutorial is a community contribution and I haven't followed up with updates. Could you do me a favor and run the tutorial and update it?
