5 months ago I think what you suggest makes perfect sense.
Basically, the latest version of the action is too recent, so I didn't have the time to do much with it (it must be just 2-3 days old, literally! lol).
But I will! My plan would be to combine everything is a very... meta-way:
- Have the nightlies repo build Arturo, every day (as it already does), but using this action

Then make this action work in a "dual" way let's say:
- normally, pull the latest nightly (*if available - which will have been generated by the very same tool
- or, on demand (based on an action input?), rebuild the whole thing from master branch (which is how the nightlies will work).

You probably have already considered it, but I did want to mention it as another option: download one of the pre-built binaries instead of compiling. This has the main benefit of being much quicker.
