500 Internal Server Error on Exporting Old Processes

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Edit the properties of the process PDF Printer Test (BPMN).
2. Choose to view as PDF (or SVG or PNG)

What is the expected output?
Ideally the chosen representation. When the process is not exportable, a
failure page should be displayed explaining what to do to restore
exportability.

What do you see instead?
500, internal server error.

While a simple resave would solve the problem, I first need to know that.
So it should be explained to the user in some way. Also, this will not be
the last time a change in the back end requires a process to be saved in a
newer version to gain certain functionality. Also, it is bad practice to
fail the server with a 500 that is presented to the user, as well as the
whole stacktrace.
