Expand the range of characters we support in file names #375

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

Allow more chars in filenames -- currently we filter out all but alpha numeric
chars in the filename entry box. We can allow others, as long as they are
permitted on all platforms we support

All chars except \/:*?"<>| are now allowed in file names. Hope we don't regret
it!

https://superuser.com/a/358861

Some characters cannot be used because the system prohibits it.
